Jhunjhunu: Alleging police inaction in a case of a brutal assault and robbery linked to a land dispute, the victim’s family members and residents of Mundwara village staged a protest rally and demonstrated at the Sikar collectorate Friday, demanding an impartial probe and immediate arrest of the accused.The protesters said Mamta, a resident of Mundwara village under Sadar police station limits, was subjected to a murderous assault over a land dispute. During the demonstration, the injured woman was brought to the Collectorate in an ambulance to underline the seriousness of the incident. After the protest, the family submitted a memorandum to Sikar district collector Mukul Sharma, seeking swift action.
