Lucknow: On a pleasant Sunday morning, half the population of Lucknow showed remarkable camaraderie by taking to the city’s streets in cars adorned with tricolour motifs, festive colours and inspiring slogans, in an event aptly themed ‘Driving the Spirit of Republic’.Women from all walks of life, ranging from 20-year-old Shreya Solomon to 68-year-old Archana Pathak, showcased immense enthusiasm and skill at the Times Women’s Car Rally.The rally, flagged off by JCP (Crime) Aparna Kumar at 1090 Crossing, drove through various checkpoints in a treasure hunt format before concluding triumphantly at Eldeco Trinity. Participants’ faces lit up with joy as Transport Commissioner Kinjal Singh presented honours to the winners. Dozens of women gathered early at the starting point, their vehicles decked out in vibrant hues and outfits perfectly synced with the Republic Day spirit.Winners included Poonam Kaushik for Best Woman Driver, Pragati Malviya for Second Best Driver, Bushra Waris for Third Best Driver, Prachi Mishra for Best Decorated Car, Neha Kakkar for Second Best Decorated Car, Shalini Singh for Third Best Decorated Car, Shreya Solomon as the Youngest Driver, and Archana Mishra as the Eldest Driver.Chief guest Kinjal Singh was deeply impressed by the participants’ spirit and appealed to empower daughters, calling them the true pillars of support.
