There’s time to finalise alliance: OPS

Chennai: Expelled AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam has said he is not in a hurry to join an alliance for the upcoming election. “Be patient,” he told reporters at Trichy on Wednesday when asked about the alliance. OPS declined to respond to a question on the exit of former minister R Vaithilingam from his camp, and chose not to respond to a question on AMMK leader T T V Dhinakaran’s return to NDA.Asked if he would try to meet PM Modi who is to visit TN on Jan 23, OPS said he has not sought appointment. But his son and former MP O Ravinthranath’s visit on Wednesday to a city hotel where Union Minister Piyush Goyal is staying, triggered speculation that he was trying to reach out to BJP. BJP sources said Ravinthranath waited to meet Goyal for nearly 40 minutes, but the meeting did not happen.
