Kolkata: A thief broke into the Layelka Hanuman temple in Baghajatin late on Friday and made away with the donation box, prompting police to review security arrangements and plan stricter patrolling. Police said the temple drew a large number of devotees, especially on Tuesdays and Saturadys. Officers have recovered CCTV footage showing the break-in. The footage also clearly shows the suspect’s face. Residents of the area demanded tighter night-time surveillance and access-control. tnn
