It is said that in the time of the rule of the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan, a fort was built by Sambhal Governor Rustom Khan here and settled the traders and the agriculturals around it. 474 AD before, Amroha region was ruled by King Amarjodh of the Vanshi Empire. The historical book called Tarkhe-Amroha is ruled out that Amroha ruled the Rajput dynasty from 676 to 1148 AD. Bahram Shah (1240-42) appointed Malik Jalaluddin to the post of Hakim of Amroha. In ancient times, the rulers of Panchal region, which had an impact on the region, was removed by the Kuru kings of Hastinapur. After the fall of the Kushan and Nanda Empire, the region was also ruled by the Maurya dynasty and then the rule of Samudragupta was established. The rule of the Gupta dynasty remained over the region for about two centuries.

After the fall of the Gupta Empire, King Mukhari of Kannauj controlled the region, after which it remained in the region of Kannauj King Harsha from 606 to 647 AD. After Harsha’s death, the northern region of the district remained in the empire region of the Tomar dynasty. After the defeat of Prithvi Raj Chauhan’s Shahabuddin Gauri, Muslim dominance began to increase and eventually the Rajput dynasty stood together against the foreign Muslim invaders of Katheria, Bargujar, Gaur, Tomar and other regional dynasties of the Rajput dynasty. Despite their efforts, Muslim posts were established in some areas of the district.

However, Muslims got complete success only when Babur sat on the throne of Delhi in 1526 AD. During the tenure of Humayun, for some time, the area of Afghans, whose leader was Sher Shah Suri, came into dominance, but during Akbar’s tenure again, he became under Mughal rule. Ruhelas also maintained their dominance on this region from time to time. At the same time, the Marathas also attacked the region from time to time but they remained failure. Later this area came under the control of Awadh. But in 1801, the region became under the British East India Company.
