Thane Municipal Corporation’s former deputy mayor appointed as BJP’s group head

Thane: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed former deputy mayor of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), Mukesh Mokashi, as its new group leader in the civic body. The appointment was announced in the presence of senior party leaders, corporators, and party workers. Mokashi was entrusted with the responsibility in view of his strong organisational experience, in-depth understanding of municipal functioning, and his ability to effectively articulate the party’s stand in the House. The party expressed confidence that as group leader, Mokashi will strengthen BJP’s role in the civic body, pursue key urban development issues more assertively, and give priority to citizens’ concerns.
