Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday urged Army authorities to appoint special officers to ensure regular coordination and resolve pending issues through continuous dialogue between the Indian Army and the Telangana govt.
He also requested that the possibility of shifting the Southern Command headquarters to Hyderabad be examined. The Southern Command oversees Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Union Territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.

The meeting was attended by chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Major General Ajay Mishra, General Officer Commanding of Telangana Andhra Sub-Area, DGP B Shivadhar Reddy, and other senior officials from the state govt and the Army.
