RaeBareli, District Magistrate Harshita Mathur said that a special enforcement campaign is to be carried out from June 06 to June 20, 2025, in view of the possibility of construction, sale and smuggling of illegal drugs. In which all Tehsil -wise teams have been formed to curb the construction and sale and smuggling of illegal liquor and the illegal alcohol/molasses transport.
The District Magistrate has directed to ensure effective enforcement work by forming a joint team of officials of Excise, Police and Revenue Administration. He said that effective curb should be imposed on the construction of illegal liquor, smuggling and transport of illegal alcohol/molasses etc. by running special enforcement campaign in the entire district. For this work, Deputy District Magistrate, Jurisdictional and Excise Inspector will be particularly active in each tehsil. 6 enforcement parties have been formed throughout the district.
The District Magistrate said that according to the list of mafia/smugglers involved in the work of illegal liquor during the special enforcement campaign with full loyalty and seriously, these teams should be taken strict action against them under the Gangster/Gunda Act as per the rules against the local police and should be monitored on them.
Checking will be conducted with intensity and subtlety of suspected vehicles and the union and contingent investigation should also be conducted on the dhabas located on the national/state highway, where alcohol tankers often stop. These teams should conduct raids on suspicious places/bases of illegal liquor in the district. Excise shops and wholesale license should be inspected according to the checklist.
Scanning/scanning of the barcode and QR code of stock should be scanned/scanned. Random test purchases should also be taken regarding the over rate at retail sales shops of domestic/foreign liquor/beer and model curse. Real time monitoring should be made available while the CCTV camera installed on the shops smoothly continuously active.
The District Magistrate said that special vigilance should be taken in the district and road checking should be done regularly so that illegal liquor cannot be smuggled in any case.
