Chandigarh: Two separate stabbing incidents left a 15-year-old Dadumajra boy in critical condition and another man injured in Mauli Jagran, prompting police to launch parallel investigations.In the first case, a teenager, Arman, was injured after three youths attacked him with a knife at Dadumajra colony late on Wednesday night. The crime occurred in front of the victim’s father, who sustained minor injuries while trying to save the teenager. The injured boy was first taken to GMSH-16. After primary treatment, doctors referred him to PGI due to his critical condition.In a complaint to police, Sanjay, 40, a resident of Dadumajra colony, Sector 38, said around 9.30pm on Feb 11, he was going towards Ramlila ground with his son Arman when Harman, Bihari and another youth arrived at the site and attacked Arman. Bihari and his companion held both of Arman’s hands, while Harman allegedly stabbed in his chest with a knife. Arman fell down on the road in a pool of blood. After the incident, all three accused fled the spot. Bihari is a relative of Sanjay.When Sanjay raised an alarm, nearby people reached the spot and helped take the injured to GMSH-16. Later, they informed the police about the incident. Maloya police registered a case of attempted murder against Harman, Bihari and another accused under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Maloya police station police were examining CCTV footage around the incident site to gather more clues on the suspects.In the preliminary investigation, mutual enmity was being considered as the possible reason for the attack.In a separate case, Mauli Jagran police booked two people for allegedly stabbing a person with sharp-edged weapons. The injured person was admitted to GMSH-16. No arrest was made in the case so far. The injured was identified as Abhishek of Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh. Abhishek alleged that Vicky, David and others attacked him with sharp weapons at Mauli Jagran.
