Kanpur: A teenager was shot dead by his friend after a dispute at a birthday party in Etawah district, and police arrested the accused in an encounter early Tuesday morning. The accused sustained a bullet injury to his right leg. Another friend who assisted in the murder was also arrested.Alish alias Aryan (17), of Jhidua, went to attend a friend’s birthday party in Nagla Ballabh village on Monday, where he got into a dispute with friends. Later, his body was found lying at Chanpaner intersection.On Tuesday morning, police surrounded Atul, son of Mahendra Pal. The accused opened fire on police. In retaliatory action, Atul sustained a bullet injury. Pankaj, son of Shivnath of Santoshpur Ghat Basrehar, Etawah was also arrested. SSP Brijesh Srivastava said the accused admitted to shooting during interrogation. Further action will be taken in the case,” he said. tnn
