Lucknow: Water supply will be disrupted in several localities from Saturday to Monday due to the scheduled cleaning and maintenance of overhead water tanks in Manasnagar, Krishnanagar and Darogakheda, the Jal Kal department of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) said on Friday.Officials said the overhead tank at Sector J in Manasnagar will be cleaned on Saturday. This will affect evening water supply in Narayanpuri, Indrapuri, Indralok, Manasnagar and adjoining areas.
On Sunday, maintenance work at the Krishnanagar overhead tank will disrupt evening water supply in Krishnanagar, Vijaynagar, Vinaynagar, Bajrangnagar, Manasnagar, Subhasnagar, Jafarkheda, Bholakheda, Ashutoshnagar, Tiwaripuram, Shivamnagar and Vishnulok. Similarly, on Monday, cleaning of the Darogakheda overhead tank will affect evening water supply in Darogakheda and Kanshiram Colony. The department clarified that the disruption will be temporary and that normal water supply will be restored after the maintenance work is completed. Residents of the affected areas were advised to store sufficient drinking water from the morning supply to avoid inconvenience.
