Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday called upon ministers, party MLAs, senior leaders and in charges of urban local bodies to collectively deliberate and give priority to candidates with winning potential, who understand Congress ideology and can effectively take the govt’s welfare programmes to the people.He said ministers, MLAs and others must take the municipal elections seriously and work in close coordination to ensure victory of Congress in the Feb 11 municipal elections. He asked party leaders and cadres to go to the people and tell them that the Congress govt is laying special focus on urban development, especially in the health and education sectors. Bhatti explained the CORE, PURE and RARE economy plans of the Revanth Reddy-led Congress govt and asked MLAs and leaders to take the highlights of the Telangana vision document-2047 to the doorsteps of the people.‘Urban infra key’“We will win the maximum number of seats in municipalities and municipal corporations, and continue to drive Telangana’s development and welfare agenda. There should be a clear strategy and coordination. The Congress govt has given top priority to the development of urban infrastructure in the first two years of its governance,” Bhatti told party leaders and reporters after touring Madhira assembly constituency in combined Khammam district.
