Several members of the Indian men’s cricket team chose an unconventional way to unwind ahead of international cricket action, opting for a jungle safari near Nagpur before the start of the T20I series against New Zealand.India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, along with Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Rinku Singh, and Ravi Bishnoi, visited the Pench Tiger Reserve as they arrived early in Nagpur for the opening match of the five-T20I series, scheduled to begin on January 21 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. As some of the players already reached Nagpur ahead of the rest of the squad, the group decided to step away briefly from training routines. They opted for a safari to relax, recharge, and spend time together before the intensity of international cricket resumed. Travelling in open jeeps through the forest reserve, the players were seen soaking in the surroundings and sharing light moments away from the spotlight of stadiums and practice nets.Footage and pictures from the trip uploaded on social media, notably by Sanju Samson, show the cricketers enjoying trail safari, breaking off for refreshments, then sitting around a bonfire at their accommodation. In one of them, the players are shown walking among forest trails at night and spending time camping in the open sky before heading back to the city.
