Panaji: The directorate of settlement and land records (DSLR) commenced land survey under the NAKSHA programme in select areas of Tiswadi taluka on Wednesday.In Panaji, surveyors began mapping the land in Caranzalem, St Inez, Miramar, Campal, Altinho and Neugi Nagar. The DSLR said that the survey is expected to take at least 10–15 days per zone.The survey will be conducted at Bambolim, Cujira, Calapor, Durgawado, Taleigao, Morambi-O-Grande, Renovadi, Murda, and Morambi-O-Pequeno, aside from the state capital. The department has asked all residents of Tiswadi taluka who are residing in these areas to cooperate with the survey teams.“All house owners in the villages, towns and the city are hereby informed that they should be present on the date and should give all possible information to the survey officer to enable him to measure their properties correctly. Those who put up land or homes on rent or as collateral for loans, as well as Goans living outside India, should take steps to ensure that their rights are recorded correctly in the survey.“The surveyor, with the permission of the owner or occupier, may be permitted to enter the premises and properties for internal measurements wherever required,” govt said in an order.
