Chennai: Applause filled the convocation hall on Saturday when E L Arunaneshwaran, son of a sugar mill worker in Dharmapuri, walked up the dais to receive his degree and 23 medals from the governor. With the highest score of 92.75%, the 25-year-old bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry degree-holder from Tanuvas dedicated his achievement to his father A K Elango. He said, “I am preparing for UPSC and TNPSC exams. I am also preparing for govt exams for veterinary doctors.” Arunaneshwaran is now pursuing master’s in veterinary sciences at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Uttar Pradesh. tnn
