Jaipur: At a meeting to prepare a roadmap for implementing Budget announcements for education department, school education secretary Krishna Kunal Thursday directed officials to ensure that all students get free uniforms and textbooks at the beginning of the new session on April 1.To achieve this, he directed that the Jan Aadhar mapping of all students be completed ahead of time. He also directed that repair work on the 2,500 dilapidated school buildings announced in the Budget be completed before the monsoon season.
Regarding the Budget announcement for girls’ toilets in all schools, he urged officials to ensure that all schools have fully functional and comfortable girls’ toilets.In addition to initiating the process of starting 500 new vocational schools as per the Budget announcement, Kunal directed officials to map and review the 4,019 currently operating vocational schools so that locations of the new schools can be determined as per requirements.He also issued instructions regarding introduction of vocational education in special schools.
