“Prime accused Mahaan Reddy, through his sources in Bengaluru, procured the drugs and planned to sell it to consumers in Hyderabad. The five accused were caught when they assembled near a private fashion college at Nagarjuna Circle. Ravi Teja is a student of that college,” inspector Rama Krishna said. Officials said the accused intended to sell the drugs mainly to students. “They were initially drug abusers, who later took to peddling for easy money. Some of them have been associated with a drug peddling network for the last four years,” H-NEW sleuths said. The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act.Police found that Mahaan and Mukesh Babu are repeat offenders. It is learnt that Ben, a Nigerian national, supplied drugs to the accused. Police said the accused used the illegally earned money for their vices.
