St Munchin’s are through to the semi-final of the Munster Schools Senior Cup after overcoming Limerick rivals Crescent College Comprehensive over 140 minutes of rugby.

Having been unable to separate at Thomond Park last week, the sides met once again, this time at Fitzgerald Park, and it was St Munchin’s who prevailed after tries from Conor Dillon and Dan Foley, both converted by Oisin Madden.

Crescent had taken the lead through a Harry O’Halloran try and Alan Cleary conversion, but Munchin’s would then take a seven-point lead, with a late Cleary penalty all Crescent could do to challenge Munchin’s.

Munchins await the winners of Castletroy College and Bandon Grammar, while Crescent College must settle for a quarter-final battle with 2025 winners, Christians.
