Sood calls Lal School ‘Taj Mahal of corruption’; take action, says AAP

New Delhi: Education minister Ashish Sood on Tuesday said that Lal School in Shahbad Dairy was AAP’s “Taj Mahal of corruption”, pointing to its poor infrastructure. The comments came during an inspection of Lal School, another under construction school building in Sector-28, Rohini, and Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Bawana Assembly constituency.

Calling the “rapid deterioration” of Lal School a “clear case of corruption and negligence”, Sood said the building, constructed in 2020, became unsafe within just five years and would now be rebuilt as a safe, modern and high-quality educational institution. “Strict action will be taken against the guilty officers and responsible persons involved in the construction of the school,” Sood added. “Instead of indulging in a political stunt, the minister should have the matter investigated, fix responsibility and take action,” said AAP. tnn
