Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud, clarified that the notice issued to K Chandrasekhar Rao, chief of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former chief minister, by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the phone-tapping case was devoid of any political motives.Speaking to reporters, the TPCC chief emphasised the state govt’s commitment to conducting a transparent probe into the phone-tapping allegations.
“We hold the utmost respect for BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. The SIT notice is not indicative of any political vendetta. In the pursuit of a transparent investigation, it is within the SIT’s jurisdiction to issue notices to any individual,” Goud stated.He further asserted, “There is no need for the Congress govt to resort to diversionary political tactics, particularly when it is favourably positioned to secure victory in the upcoming municipal elections.”
