Sinha-Bhattacharya regain lead in Singhania Bridge

Kanpur: The pair of AK Sinha (Lucknow) and Kingshuk Bhattacharya (West Bengal) returned to the top with 197.34 VPs after the 16th round of the All-India Sir Padampat Singhania Memorial Invitational Pairs Bridge Tournament at the Cawnpore Club on Saturday. Second place was secured by Raju Tolani and Swarnendu Bannerjee with 190.3 VPs, while the West Bengal pair of Sourendra Coomer Dutt and Swapan Some slipped to third place with 187.21 VPs after the 16th round. The West Bengal pair of Soumadeep Ghosh and Arya Chakraborty, who were in third place with 146.05 VPs after the 12th round, slipped to fourth place with 183.84 VPs. The pair of Gopinath Manna and Pijush Baroi improved their position to stand fifth with 180.49 VPs. Another West Bengal duo, Satyabrata Mukherjee and Pinaki Khan, were in fifth place after the 15th round but slipped to sixth in the next round with 178.59 VPs. The pair of Sumit Mukherjee and Monia Jajoo were placed seventh with 177.37 VPs.
