Ludhiana: The Punjab education department has directed district education officers (DEOs) across 15 districts, including Ludhiana, Patiala, and Jalandhar, to verify applications for an upcoming leadership training session at the Principal Academy Singapore. DEOs are tasked with checking and submitting entries according to strict eligibility rules.To qualify, applicants must be regular employees of the school education department with at least two years of service in their cadre and a cleared probation period. Criteria include an age limit of 53 years or younger as of June 30, 2025, with at least five years of service remaining. Candidates must possess a valid Indian passport through September 2026, maintain clean disciplinary records with no pending inquiries or criminal cases, and provide three years of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs).In Ludhiana, deputy DEO Amandeep Singh confirmed that five applications had been verified and forwarded following the portal’s closure. While local departments handle verification, the final selection will be made at the state level. Dates for the session have not yet been announced. To date, nearly 235 principals and education officials have already received training in Singapore as part of the state’s ongoing global education reform initiative.
