Signature campaign and seminar organized on the occasion of World Tobacco Prohibition Day

On the occasion of World Tobacco Prohibition Day 31 May 2025, a sign of Dr. Naveen Chandra Chief Medical Officer, Rae Bareli organized a signature campaign and seminar in the CMO office campus and administered an oath not to consume any tobacco product.
In the workshop, tobacco/smoking prohibition complex was informed about Section 4 of Kotpa Act 2003. Poonam Yadav, District Consultant, tobacco control cell informed about the ill effects caused by tobacco consumption and said that tobacco is being consumed by women in large quantities with men. The result of which is very serious, tobacco -free or use with smoke is harmful to the society. In which mainly the youth are the main role of making them aware of the ill effects of tobacco and not encouraging them to smoke.

At the same time, the youth can be saved from such tobacco consumption by bringing the youth from tobacco consumption about diseases and losses as well as encouraging people using tobacco to give up tobacco consumption. To prevent tobacco losses, tobacco eradication centers, district hospital, Rae Bareli are being counseling to tobacco consumption and necessary healthy habits, medicines, zocches etc. are being supported. During counseling, patients were informed about the side effects caused by tobacco consumption as well as how tobacco intake can be stopped. At the end of the District Consultant, Poonam Yadav thanked the officers and employees and said that their expected cooperation in keeping the district tobacco -free.
