Patna: Sub-Inspector (Traffic) Pankaj Kumar has been suspended for dereliction of duty and violating traffic regulations. On Jan 17, illegally parked sand-laden trucks entering via unauthorised routes between AIIMS Golambar and Naubatpur caused heavy traffic on NH-139. An inquiry found that Pankaj failed to enforce orders, worsening congestion and disrupting traffic. The suspension follows a report by the DSP (Traffic-III).
