Kanpur: Keeping in view the expected heavy influx of devotees during the Mahashivratri festival, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Atul Kumar Shrivastav on Saturday conducted a detailed inspection of the Shri Anandeshwar (Paramat) Temple premises under the Gwaltoli police station area.During the inspection, officials closely reviewed the temple premises, ghats, entry and exit routes, and other sensitive locations. A comprehensive walkthrough was carried out to assess security arrangements, including barricading, functionality of CCTV cameras, lighting, cleanliness, traffic regulation, and crowd management measures. The DCP issued necessary instructions to concerned officials to ensure the safety of devotees, smooth crowd movement, and well-organised darshan arrangements. Special emphasis was laid on emergency preparedness, security for women devotees, parking facilities, traffic diversions, and continuous surveillance during the festival period.ADCP (Central) Archana Singh was also present during the inspection.
