Several police officers transferred

Patna: Several police officers posted at different police stations were transferred with immediate effect following approval from the Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, Patna, on Thursday.Sub-inspector Ranvijay Kumar was shifted from the post of SHO, Didarganj police station, to Police Line, Patna, after his explanation regarding alleged illegal soil excavation in Didarganj was found unsatisfactory. Sunil Kumar, who earlier served as prosecution and security in-charge at Barh court, has taken charge as the new SHO of Didarganj.SI Sanjeet Kumar was transferred from the post of SHO, Naubatpur police station, while SHO Maheshwar Prasad Rai of Dhanarua was also moved to Police Line. SI Amit Kumar, previously additional SHO at Dhanarua, has now taken charge as SHO of Dhanarua. SI Manjeet Kumar Thakur has been appointed as the new SHO of Naubatpur.The SHO of Nadi police station, Shankar Jha, has been posted as SHO of Chitragupt Nagar police station. Saddam Hussein, previously in charge of JP Setu TOP, has been shifted to Nadi police station. Bishnu Kumar, earlier posted at Bikram police station, has now been made in charge of JP Setu TOP.Bike showroom owner robbed of Rs 6 lakh: Bike-borne miscreants snatched Rs6 lakh from Lalan Kumar, owner of a prominent two-wheeler showroom in Patna district, in broad daylight on Thursday. The incident took place as Kumar was returning to his home in Gonavan Colony after withdrawing the cash from a Bank of Baroda branch in Barh.Police suspect the criminals tailed him from the bank and intercepted him as he turned into his lane. Two men on a motorcycle reportedly snatched the bag containing the money and sped away.Barh DSP Anand Kumar Singh and the Barh station in-charge reached the spot with a team and launched an investigation. “Authorities are scanning CCTV footage from the locality and adjoining roads to identify and trace the suspects,” Singh said.
