Separate road accidents kill three in capital

New Delhi: A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider died during treatment after their bike was hit by a car in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh on Saturday, police said. The accident occurred near a mobile store close to Najafgarh police station. Police said a hatchback rammed into the motorcycle, throwing both riders – Manoj (30), and his pillion, Ajay (28) – onto the road.

CCTV footage captured the car hitting the two-wheeler, helping police identify the vehicle. The driver, Manish, is on the run. A case has been registered and police are trying to trace the accused. In another incident, an 11-year-old boy was killed and his parents suffered injuries after their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a speeding truck, near Delhi Cantt, on Jan 9. Police said the truck rammed into the two-wheeler from behind, throwing the family onto the road. The father suffered minor injuries while the mother was critically injured but is now out of danger. The truck driver fled the spot. A case has been registered. TNN
