Kalyan: After four corporators elected from Uddhav Thackeray‘s Shiv Sena (UBT) became unreachable over the past few days, and amid suspicions that all four are in contact with the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) as they failed to attend the meeting for the formation of the party group, Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders have issued a strong warning, stating that if the four corporators are not traced soon, they will lodge a police complaint of their kidnapping.Of the total 11 corporators elected on the Shiv Sena (UBT) ticket, four have been out of contact for several days. Party leaders suspect two of them are in touch with the Shiv Sena led by deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde, while the remaining two are allegedly in contact with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), which has extended its support to the Shiv Sena.Speaking to the media, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Alpesh Bhoir said the party is deeply concerned about the disappearance of its corporators. “Our four corporators have been unreachable for the last few days. We strongly suspect that two of them are in contact with leaders from the Shinde-led Shiv Sena, while the other two are in touch with MNS corporators who are supporting Shiv Sena. So far, neither Shiv Sena nor MNS have made any official statement about their whereabouts,” said Bhoir.Issuing a clear warning, Bhoir added, “If our corporators are not released and brought back into contact with us by today or tomorrow, we will approach the police station and register a case against those responsible for abducting our corporators.”Meanwhile, reacting to the allegations, Shiv Sena legislator Vishwanath Bhoir rejected any suggestion of wrongdoing. He maintained that the four corporators were not in contact with his party. “If we want to bring corporators from any party into the Shiv Sena, we will do it openly. We will not resort to secretive methods or backdoor politics,” he said.As the standoff intensifies, all eyes are now on whether the missing corporators reappear in the coming days or whether the matter escalates into a police case, further deepening the political confrontation in the city.
