Security guard killed in hit-and-run in Mumbai | Mumbai News

Mumbai: A 40-year-old security guard at Hiranandani Gardens, Ajay Singh (40), was killed in a hit-and-run in Powai on Saturday, police said. In her police complaint, the deceased’s wife Meena (38), who works as a domestic help, said that her husband was knocked down by a speeding tempo at 12.30pm.She said that an hour after she left home for work, she received a call from her neighbour, Sultana Navache, who told her that Singh was taken in a car to Hiranandani Hospital in Powai. She rushed to the hospital, where her elder son, Ganesh, was already present. “On reaching the hospital, she was told that her husband was hit by a pickup vehicle and the driver fled without helping him,” said a police officer. Singh was declared dead by the doctors at the hospital at 1.10pm.Police are looking for the tempo involved in the hit-and-run case to track down the accused.
