Surat: A director of a residential school was arrested for alleged sexual harassment of a Class 11 tribal girl in Vansda taluka of Navsari.The accused, 25 years old, is also the son of the school’s trustee.The warden had referred the girl to the director after a mobile phone was found from her bag. When she went there, he touched her inappropriately, the complaint lodged by the girl states.The police arrested him late on Thursday night. He was produced in the court which remanded him in police custody till Feb 23.The Vansda police pressed charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 2012 (Pocso), along with sections of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
