Savli MLA skips coordination meeting

Vadodara: The BJP MLA from Savli, Ketan Inamdar, has continued to express his displeasure about the functioning of officials in the district administration by not joining the coordination meeting between officials and elected representatives on Saturday. Inamdar and four other MLAs from Vadodara district had expressed displeasure at the functioning of the administration. They stated in a letter on Jan 8 that the administration was painting a rosy picture of the situation while the ground reality was different. They hinted that works suggested by elected representatives were not taken up. Inamdar skipped Saturday’s meeting and told mediapersons in Savli that it seemed the meeting was a mere formality. He said the issues he raised in earlier meetings were also not taken up. He said if the meeting was just a formality, he did not want to be part of it. Inamdar said he did not speak to other MLAs about not attending the meeting. He said he spoke about his absence only after being asked by the media. Of the five BJP MLAs who signed the letter, Chaitanyasinh Zala from Padra and Akshay Patel from Karjan were also absent from the meeting. Sources said that they had other engagements.
