Directing a phased implementation of the project, the CM told officials to identify suitable land in all districts at the earliest so that these zones could be operationalised promptly. Sharing details about the project, officials concerned said that each district will have a minimum 50-acre zone, providing a plug-and-play facility for industries, modern infrastructure for MSMEs, service-based sectors and innovation-driven enterprises. “These zones will serve as integrated hubs, where youth can access skill development, employment, entrepreneurship training, mentoring and industry support under one roof,” officials said. The zones will include common facility centres, testing and display facilities, tool rooms, effluent treatment plants, flatted factories, commercial areas, green spaces and office infrastructure. An associated Employment and Skill Development Centre is also planned in each zone, featuring training halls, conference rooms, extension counters and facilities to guide start-ups and entrepreneurs. The operational model will ensure apprenticeship, internship and paid employment opportunities in local industries. Officials said the initiative will be implemented in phases across all districts, taking into account local needs and regional potential. The CM emphasised that the zones should become a model for industrial growth and job creation, strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s position as a hub for skills, entrepreneurship and sustainable industrial development. The CM instructed departments to fast-track project execution, aiming to provide youth with accessible employment, advanced training and opportunities to launch their own enterprises, while boosting the state’s overall industrial output.
