Patna: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Muzaffarpur on Sunday on a four-day visit to Bihar as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations.Soon after his arrival, Bhagwat addressed a seminar in Garha, which was attended by more than 300 people and RSS volunteers from 18 districts. Participants came from Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Samastipur, Madhubani, East and West Champaran, the Kosi region and Naugachhia.On Monday, Bhagwat is scheduled to unfurl the national flag at the RSS provincial office in Muzaffarpur. According to the organisation, this will be the first time that the sarsanghchalak unfurls the national flag at a provincial office on Republic Day.His visit to Muzaffarpur forms part of his north Bihar tour, during which he will remain in the district till Monday. He is scheduled to visit south Bihar on Jan 27 and 28, when he will be in Patna.After the flag-unfurling ceremony on Monday, Bhagwat is expected to meet several prominent people from the city and hold discussions on the functioning of the organisation. He will return to Patna later in the afternoon.
