Ahmedabad: Regional Passport Office Ahmedabad will hold a special drive on Saturday, Feb 7, to meet the surge in demand for passport services recorded during Jan. Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Bapunagar and PSK Vijay Crossroads will hold the drives to clear the rush and provide early appointment availability to applicants.Appointments for Feb 7 were released online on the Passport Seva portal for both ‘normal’ and ‘tatkal’ passport categories. Applicants who already have appointments scheduled for a later date, as well as those who missed earlier appointments, will be able to reschedule and book slots under the special drive date through the portal.
RPO Ahmedabad said that it advises applicants to review documentation requirements in advance to ensure a smooth process during their visit to the PSKs. Applicants have been asked to refer to the official Passport Seva website, www.passportindia.gov.in, for updated guidance on required documents and procedures.The special drive is part of the ministry of external affairs’ initiative aimed at making passport appointments available to citizens at an earlier date and improving service delivery during periods of high demand. tnn
