Patna: Sunny Kumar, a wanted criminal in two robbery cases registered under Barh police station in 2024, was arrested from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, by Patna police on Jan 31, 2026. The incidents involved dacoity in the Dayachak and Noniyabagi areas of Patna against unknown persons. “Seven other accused were already arrested earlier and sent to judicial custody. Sunny was evading arrest by frequently changing locations and staying outside Bihar. Based on secret information, technical analysis, and coordinated efforts by the Barh police station team along with Patna DIU, a raid was conducted in Tamil Nadu, leading to his arrest. The accused has a prior criminal history, including two cases at Barh police station and one at Nirsa police station, all related to robbery,” said Barh DSP Anand Kumar Singh on Thursday. Earlier recoveries were made in the cases.
