Ahmedabad: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ahmedabad is organising a special drive for passport applicants on March 14, Saturday, at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Bapunagar and PSK Vijay Cross Road, Ahmedabad.The special drive is being organised in view of the exceptionally high demand for passport services during Feb. The initiative is aimed at enhancing appointment availability and facilitating faster access to passport services for citizens.Appointments for March 14 were released online on the Passport Seva Web Portal (www.passportindia.gov.in) for both normal and tatkal categories. Applicants who already hold appointments for later dates, as well as those who missed their earlier appointments, may reschedule and secure a slot for the special drive date.This special drive forms part of the Union ministry of external affairs’ ongoing initiative to improve citizen service delivery by making passport appointments available at the earliest possible date and addressing peak demand through targeted capacity augmentation.Earlier this month, the RPO Ahmedabad announced the deployment of a Passport Seva Mobile Van in Bhuj to expand appointment availability and strengthen last-mile delivery of passport services. A similar initiative was taken when such a passport van was deployed at Sanand for three days.
