Rare jumping spider spotted in Assam, the first in India

Silchar: Researchers from Assam University, Silchar, have recorded a rare species of jumping spider for the first time in India, adding to the country’s biodiversity list and highlighting the scientific value of southern Assam’s forests, reports B B Goswami. Colyttus bilineatus was documented at Loharbond in Cachar district’s Inner Line Reserved Forest, bordering Mizoram and Manipur.
