Jaipur: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje Thursday flagged off Jhalawar MP Dushyant Singh’s ‘Aashirwad Padyatra’ in Unhel (Jhalawar), describing it as a journey of development, public trust and grassroots outreach.Addressing a gathering, Raje recalled her days as a MP and said she undertook several padyatras despite physical hardships. “The padyatra is not a political exercise but an effort to connect with people, understand their concerns and work for their welfare.” She criticised leaders who remain disconnected from the public after elections and said her party viewed the constituency as a family, not merely a voter base. Praising Dushyant, she said the MP remained in constant touch with the people and made efforts to reach every part of the constituency. She said the objective of the padyatra was to ensure respect for every citizen, promote development, and resolve genuine public grievances.
