Chandigarh: Residents of the Tricity can expect partly cloudy skies along with rain and thunderstorms over the next two days.The Met department has said light rain and thunderstorms are likely on Feb 1 and 2. Day temperatures are expected to remain on the lower side, with the maximum likely to hover around 22°C on Sunday and 21°C on Monday, while the minimum temperature may range between 9°C and 10°C.
Over the past 24 hours, the weather in Chandigarh remained dry, though dense to very dense fog was reported at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana. Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 20.7°C — below normal — while the minimum stood at 7.7°C.Weather conditions are expected to improve after Feb 2, with mostly clear skies from Feb 3 onward. tnn
