Raebareli Local News ! Chief Development Officer Arpit Upadhyay inaugurated the special communicable disease control campaign running from 05 to 31 October in the district and Dastak campaign from 11 to 31 October at Composite School Chak Ahmedpur by administering oath to the children, teachers, Anganwadi workers, Asha Bahu and the district level officers present. On this occasion, children were motivated to prevent communicable diseases. Along with this, awareness rally, publicity and fogging vehicle was flagged off.

The Chief Development Officer said that prevention of communicable diseases is completely possible. For this, awareness is necessary and there should be extensive cleanliness so that mosquitoes do not spread. Communicable diseases like dengue, malaria, chikungunya are caused by mosquito bites. Therefore, everyone should maintain cleanliness and also make people aware. He said that officers and employees of all departments should cooperate in making the district clean with full devotion and dedication. Under the Communicable Disease Campaign, the work of cleanliness, sanitation, anti-larva spraying, fogging, cleaning of drains, cleaning of bushes near ponds/ponds and spraying of pesticides should be 100 percent ensured by the concerned officials.

Activities related to prevention of communicable diseases in all Gram Panchayats and revenue villages of the district and wards of Nagar Panchayats including Municipality will be carried out by all the supporting departments, paying special attention to cleanliness, garbage disposal, prevention of waterlogging, availability of pure drinking water and promotion of behavior change. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Naveen Chandra said that the special communicable disease control campaign will run from 05 to 31 October 2025 and the Dastak campaign will run from 11 to 31 October.  Health department is the nodal in the campaign and a total of 13 departments including the health department are cooperating.
