The District Magistrate said that these machines will play an important role in the diagnosis of eye diseases and will help in providing better health services to the people.
Superintendent Dr. SK Katiyar was told that the name of the first machine is Auto Refructo Kiratometer, which is priced at 4 lakh 15 thousand.
This machine was already available in the hospital but the machine was not very old and in good condition. There was a lot of need for a new machine, which has been purchased with hospital money. It is used to check the power of patients’ glasses and is also used to remove the power of intra acular lens during the operation.
The name of the second machine is the opthalmic slit lamp. The price of which is 1 lakh 28 thousand rupees. It has also been purchased with hospital money. It is a type of microscope. With this, the eye can be closely examined and the disease can be detected. He informed that the District Magistrate has been a special contribution in providing these machines. On this occasion, the concerned officers/employees including Municipal Magistrate Ram Avatar were present.
