Punjab govt transfers 96 officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle

Chandigarh: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Punjab govt on Friday transferred 96 officers – eight IAS and 88 PCS officers – after approval from governor Gulab Chand Kataria.Among the key changes, 2020-batch IAS officer Rajdeep Singh Brar was posted as additional deputy commissioner (urban development), Bathinda. He will also serve as additional chief administrator, Bathinda development authority. Brar replaces Narinder Singh.Rubinderjit Singh Brar was appointed as additional chief executive officer, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion. He will also held the charge of additional secretary, NRI affairs, and additional secretary, local govt.Divya P, a 2022-batch IAS officer, was assigned the role of additional deputy commissioner (rural development), Jalandhar.Vivek Kumar Modi, also a 2022-batch officer, was posted as additional deputy commissioner (general), Barnala. Krishna Pal Rajpoot was appointed as additional deputy commissioner (rural development), Ferozepur, while Davy Goyal was appointed as additional deputy commissioner (general), Muktsar.Kritika Goyal was posted as divisional magistrate, Mehal Kalan. The services of Rakesh Kumar Meena were placed at the disposal of the department of local govt for posting as joint commissioner, municipal corporation, Bathinda, relieving Jaspal Singh Brar, PCS, of the additional charge.MSID:: 128604657 413 |
