Public reading of voters’ list today

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh chief electoral officer Navdeep Rinwa has announced that booth level officers (BLOs) will once again read out the draft electoral roll at all polling stations on Sunday, from 11 am to 4 pm.The initiative aims to help voters verify their details and ensure that no eligible citizens are left out.

During the public reading, BLOs will also announce the names of voters who were excluded due to reasons like death, absence, duplication, migration, or failure to return the verification form. The CEO urged all voters to visit their respective booths and check their names in the draft roll published on Jan 6. If a name is missing, voters can submit Form 6 with a declaration to the BLO or apply online through ECINET or voters.eci.gov.in. Errors can be corrected using Form 8, and assistance is available via the 1950 helpline. TNN
