Chandigarh: PU will organise its annual Rose Festival from Feb 6 to 8 at the Sector 14 campus. The Festival Secretariat was inaugurated by YP Verma, registrar, PU, Thursday. Posters of the 15th Rose Festival and the brochure for the flower competition were also unveiled on the occasion.
With the opening of the Secretariat, forms for participation in various competitions are available at the single-window enquiry. Online applications can also be submitted through the university portal. Officials said the online registration system was developed in-house. TNNA range of competitions for different age groups will be held, including rangoli, painting, slogan writing, mehndi, collage making, face painting, fancy dress, and Rose Prince and Rose Princess contests.
Entries will be accepted until Feb 5 at 5 pm.According to the schedule, the flower competition and inauguration will be held on Feb 6. Cultural programmes and competitions will continue over the next 2 days. The festival will also feature an open flower competition with about 90 categories, along with facilities such as a food court and amusement areas.
