Vadodara: City-based Parul University (PU) on Wednesday inaugurated the India–New Zealand Centre of Excellence (CoE), becoming the first Indian university to partner with faculty members from seven New Zealand universities to establish a joint platform for research collaboration, shared infrastructure and cultural exchange.University officials said the CoE was launched during PU’s International Week 2026 in the presence of senior representatives from Education New Zealand (ENZ) and leading New Zealand government universities. The centre will focus on long-term academic cooperation beyond student mobility, with an emphasis on collaborative research, faculty development and innovation-driven projects aligned with global priorities.International Week 2026, organized by PU’s Centre for International Relations and Research, brought together over 70 senior academic leaders from more than 22 countries. Delegates represented universities, polytechnics, government bodies and education organisations from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Oceania.The week also marked 11 years of collaboration between PU and Humber College, Canada, during which a 2+2 dual-degree articulation agreement was signed.
