Jaipur: Union home ministry Sunday announced the award of President’s Police Medal for distinguished service to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shantanu Kumar Singh. Meanwhile, 16 police officers and personnel, including two IPS officers, were selected for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the eve of Republic Day.Singh is currently posted at the state’s cyber crime wing and is lauded for his work in tackling organised cyber frauds and for introducing innovative investigation and enforcement methods.
Among those selected for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service are Inspector General (IG) Deepak Kumar and IG Paramjyoti. The other awardees include Additional SPs Revant Dan, Dhanpat Raj, Mahavir Singh Shekhawat, and Neelkamal Meena, as well as Inspector Surendra Yadav and Snehlata Jat.The list also includes Sub-Inspectors (SIs) Krishnavir Singh, Rajendra Singh, and Harishankar; Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Umesh Pareek; Balu Lal; Laxminarayan; Mahendra Singh; and Head Constable Satyavir.
