Prayagraj: Four police teams were formed to work out the loot case wherein three bikers snatched away a bag of jewellery worth lakhs from a jeweller on Tuesday night.A group of three bike-borne armed miscreants allegedly looted a licensed revolver, Rs one lakh cash, and gold and silver jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees from the jeweller, PK Soni, near Panchayat Bhawan Road, Chakdeeha village, under the limits of Manda police station. They also hit the jeweller with butt of the gun when he resisted the act. The injured jeweller was admitted to SRN Hospital. The jeweller was returning after closing the shop when the loot occurred.CP (Law and Order) Dr Ajay Pal told TOI that police have detained six persons for questioning. The miscreants intercepted the jeweller and assaulted him before snatching his bag containing around 150 gram gold, 5 kg silver, Rs 1 lakh cash, and a licensed revolver, said the CP. On being informed, the senior police officials reached the spot and carried out investigations.
