Thousands are without power in Perth’s northern suburbs as temperatures near 40C.
More than 3300 properties in Scarborough, Trigg, Doubleview, Woodlands and Karrinyup are experiencing outages, with Western Power estimating a restoration time of 5pm Monday.
The outage zone includes Doubleview Primary School, Scarborough Primary School and St John’s School.
