Khagaria: A 500-meter-long pontoon bridge across the Kosi river was opened near Beerbas village under Gogri block of Khagaria district on Wednesday. The bridge has been constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs30 crore. It will prove a boon for the people of about 25 villages of Khagaria and Madhepura districts. Locals said the people of the area will now have to travel only 25 km in reaching Madhepura as against 95 km before construction of the bridge.
