Kanpur: A blackout exercise was conducted by Kanpur Commissionerate Police in the city under the direction of Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal, with participation from police officers, personnel and related departments.During the exercise, lights were switched off in various areas at designated times to test how police forces and administrative units worked in coordination during emergency situations.
The Police Commissioner personally inspected the exercise and gave necessary directions to the officers concerned through wireless. A blackout was conducted by switching off lights at Sadbhavna Chauraha. Additionally, a mock drill was conducted in an under-construction multi-storey building with a fire brigade and commando unit.
